Is the younger brother of Kamran.

Represented Pakistan at the ICC U19 CWC 2008.

In only his sixth first-class match he smashed 248 off just 225 deliveries, including 11 sixes.

Became the second Pakistan player to score an away Test hundred on debut, against New Zealand in 2009.
